I stopped counseling.
We left it with, maybe you should write.
I’m the age where blogging was an exciting thing in the early 2000s as the internet was really becoming a thing. And I blogged about parenting and recipes and life in general. It was a way I kept in touch with family far away.
But then the blogging world changed, technologies improved, and passed me by.
And I’ve missed it.
So I’m going to start writing again.
And I’m going to put my face on camera. Terrifying. I live on zoom, teaching classes all day, but I don’t turn on the camera. Same idea: I’m of the age where we didn’t need to, when this work from home idea started. I started in 2008. I was 35years old.
And again, technologies improved and literally zoomed past me, as “social media” and tiktok took over. As of this minute, I don’t even have a tiktok account; I don’t have the tiktok app. I’ve never once looked at it.
But with most things in my life, once I learn a few things, I want to share. I want to help others; I want to educate; I want to put it out there for the masses. It’s the best catharsis for me, maybe better than counseling. Because I am a verbal processor. The words and analyzation help me make sense of the world.
So here I will share the stories of our life. Because I am learning more each day about bipolar disorder, and what living with a man with bipolar means. It’s hard, it’s impossible, it’s hilarious, it’s trying, it’s amazing and inspiring. It’s life. This is ours.
Thank you for joining us.
